On July 1, 2025, Governor Mike DeWine signed the Agriculture Appreciation Act into law!
This new law sets aside specific days and weeks to recognize and raise awareness about agriculture and related fields across Ohio.
One key part of the Act: the first week of October (October 1–7) is now officially Ohio Stormwater Awareness Week.
It’s a time to raise awareness about how stormwater pollution affects our land, water, and farms, and to highlight the steps we can take to prevent it. Clean stormwater helps protect our streams, drinking water, and the health of Ohio’s agricultural and natural resources.
